Hi friends old and new!
Happy Monday!!!!! Ready to stretch, reach goals, kiss dreams and have an amazing week?!
This weekend Hello Kitty Cafe rolled through the DC area. To get you pumped for the week, here’s some photo spam from this weekend’s super kawaii cuteness.
And now … on to business! *tee hee*
For the next couple weeks, I’ll be planning SCETA Japan Center’s first “big” activity since our grand opening in June 🙂 So I’ll outline that first. Hopefully you’ll join us!
✨Taiiku no Hi (Sports Day)
Join us fora Pokemon-themed Taiiku no Hi (Health & Sports Day) … SCETA Japan Center style!
The day’s fun activities will include Pokemon GO Scavenger Hunt, Kamizumo (small Japanese wrestling), Wii U Pokkén Tournament, a 3DS Pokemon meet-up, and a live Pokemon art battle.
I’m so stoked and can’t wait to greet everyone coming to have fun with us!
⚡️About Taiiku no Hi⚡️
Health and Sports Day (体育の日 Taiiku no hi), also known as Health-Sports Day or Sports Day, is a national holiday in Japan held annually on the second Monday in October.
It commemorates the opening of the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, and exists to promote sports and an active lifestyle.
You can buy tickets for Pokemon Taiiku no Hi here. ^^
✨A New Serene Place
This past Wednesday, Chika and I went out to map our Pokemon Go scavenger hunt.
I was sharing with her my anxiety and distrust as a minority in College Park as we were walking. And then we found this place! <3
It made me so happy! Because the space is so neutral and welcoming of individuals from any walk of life, I decided that this should be my place of solitude. And that I should go, if I can, ANY TIME I experience those feelings of anxiety.
Soooooo excited that my new serene, self-care space will be a stop on our Pokemon GO scavenger hunt. So excited to share this space with others. ^^
Welp … until next time (which won’t be too long from now haha)
Thanks so much for stopping by today <3
I hope you have a most productive and colourful week!
