Happy Sunday fun day friends!!!! <3
So how about an end of the month tattoo round-up, eh?!
I’m not very good on updating my tattoo portfolios, but I am getting into the process of sharing tattoos that are a direct representation of the styles I enjoy. I (semi) started earlier this month, sharing the tattoo styles I would like to continue for 2016. You can check those out here.
For your convenience I’ll be rounding up tattoos that I have done, enjoyed, shared via social at the end of each month.
disclaimer: I know it’s silly and obnoxious of me to assume that I’m your favorite tattoo artist and that you enjoy my work, but I enjoy sharing it hoping that it helps people with fresh ideas 😬
So here’s January’s round-up, the first of the year! I hope you enjoy =^.^=
♡ JeweledWrist Cuff
Harry Potter’s Lost Diadem of Raven Claw
♡ Japanese-inspiredLeg Sleeve
Wabori Japanese Dragon
The homie Shaq is too cool! <3 He currently collects work from the coolest, Danger Dave and myself.
♡ IllustrativeMemorial Piece
Pride & Prejudice for her mom ^^
It took almost one week to prepare the drawing for this piece and we were able to consult via email on all changes and things to make her piece a special one. We’ll be adding other works in the future ~
Don’t mind the scratch on her piece. She has a cat >.< He got her a little while before her session … yah know?! for good luck! ^^
Kitties are silly 😸
♡ MehndiFix-Up & Add-on
Moon Phases for Lucretia
She wanted a moon phase and something linear but fun and left it up to me. Of course we came up with some AMAZING ideas to continue her sleeve. Just be on the look out for mash-up pieces inspired by Egyptian culture, Greek mythology, and characters of the show Good Times, Thelma and Willona Woods.
♡ ShungaHalf-Sleeve Piece
The wonderfully perverse and twisted traditional woodcut artwork of Toshio Saeki
I don’t know what to say here other than she is wearing this piece WELL! <3 I was surprised that she chose this as the next piece on her sleeve journey, but hey! ^^
#supportLIPS tattoo (pay-up!) work with Terra
Terra is my right hand woman for all things kawaii dreamer-related and more. An amazing being, when she offered her hand, she said she was in this for the long haul. I told her that I can’t pay her for her time now, but I’m happy to tattoo her since she was planning to be a returning client anyway.
disclaimer: I don’t believe in something for nothing. Even if she said I owe her nothing, I would work hard to pay it forward.
The lazy cow (Terra) and gloomy bear (me) living that kigu life in downtown DC
This photo is a close-up because I enjoy what we’re doing with Terra’s sleeve, but we don’t really have a plan. huhuhu Terra trusts me with her skin and I’m having fun with lines and jewel drips. So we’ll see what magic happens on her canvas. <3
♡ FamilyMemorial Piece
Ivy & Pearls, 3 Sisters Mountain, & A LOT of LOVE!
Michelle’s piece is loaded with symbolism for her family, her beliefs, and her organisation and its founding principles. You’ll hear more about Michelle later. She’s an educator and caught wind of our kawaii efforts with kids, #KAWAIIindaHood and excitedly offered to lend us a hand.
“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination”
Short and simple (inspirational) typography on skin is always a pleasant challenge. Aaron is always cool and patient. I can’t wait to see where he goes with his ink. 😀
A Little Kawaii Black Girl
A simple illustrative piece of a kawaii black girl. The placement on the back of the arm makes it feel as is the girl is peering into the future, filled with hope. <3 Too cute!

feel free to follow the channels, username ipukekawaii
♡ IllustrativeBlack Work
I looked forward to this piece so much so that I bumped her up after having to reschedule due to in climate weather. (I almost NEVER bump people up haha)
She knew she wanted a piece and was patiently waiting for inspiration.
She found it in South Africa. <3
I hope you enjoyed this month’s round-up of my work. Please don’t forget to stop by for Tattoo Tuesday. Continuing with my Pinterest series, I’ll be sharing how you can set up your boards to better communicate ideas with your artist.
Until then ~
